Frank & Camille's Buying Tips

Congratulations! You have decided to invest in a piano for yourself and your family, or perhaps as a gift for a loved one. We hope that your purchase is every bit as rewarding as it was for us years ago! Here are a few things for you to consider when shopping for a piano. Hopefully you will find them helpful!
Size and Space
Before visiting our store, have an idea as to where you would like the piano to be placed in your home, keeping in mind that upright pianos should be placed against a wall and will need a space of 5’ wide by 2’ deep.

Grand pianos, however, can be placed anywhere and will occupy a space of 5’ wide by 4’6” long on the shortest side to 9’ in length depending on the instrument you choose.
Finish
Many people have an image of a shiny black grand piano but for some this traditional finish simply does not match the décor. Before visiting one of our showrooms, bare in mind that in addition to polished black, many pianos do come in dark and light wood finishes as well.

If you absolutely need a finish that is not present in our showroom, do not hesitate to ask if it is available. We have many makes and models and many resources to get you exactly what you need.
Tone and Touch
While our sales representative will be happy to demonstrate our instruments, please ask to play yourself! Even if you have not touched a piano in years, you are the player after all so feel free to sit down and enjoy yourself!
Other Factors
Many of our clients have unique situations that make piano ownership difficult such as roommates, the necessity to practice during late hours, or other situational inconveniences.

Luckily, we carry the very best variety of acoustic and digital pianos that can be played in complete silence so as to not disturb your neighbors. Many of these pianos can be played both acoustically and silently and are designed to sound and feel like some of the world’s finest pianos.

Please visit us if you are considering the piano, but need to play quietly, as we have many products for you.
